Abundance Journal: A twist on a gratitude journal

Do you want to bring more abundance into your life?

Do you want to achieve more?

More time and freedom to do what you really want to do?

I was speaking with my good friend Heather Waxman, and I asked her what her favorite practice was for abundance.

Heather explained that she has two journals that she uses everyday.

One is a gratitude journal which she writes 5 things she is grateful for everyday.

The other is an abundance journal, which she looks at her bank account, see what came in and what went out, and writes down gratitudes for the money that came in and went out.

I have kept a gratitude journal for quite awhile, but I was really intrigued to start this little “twist” on it.

I am no longer mad at bills!

Bills are a service that I am receiving.

For example, I am grateful my phone bill is paid because I was able to have an amazing conversation with my best friend this week, and all because of my phone service.

I really believe what you focus on grows.

Often we avoid money, we put up blinders and think,

“I don’t how much money I have. I am just going to pay this and hope that it goes through.”

Money was an extremely touchy subject with huge emotion and anxiety attached to it when I was growing up. My dad was a compulsive gambler and I was told I to hide my money because my dad would steal it.
It’s no wonder I had a lot of issues with trusting myself to have cash!

In 2012, I won a half day with Ali Brown, who is a multi-millionaire internet marketer. I was able to go to her house and get coaching from her.
While I was there she asked me to show her my wallet.

I was totally taken back by this and she insisted that I show her my wallet.

Before I continue let me paint a picture of my wallet for you:

It was this duct tape, pink and zebra wallet a little girl made me. It had receipt’s falling out everywhere, it was a MESS.

I was so embarrassed; I reached into my bag and handed it to her.

She gave me this “WTF” look, looked inside it and said,  “There is no money in here, why?”

I explained why I never had cash on me told her that I felt that I would lose it, people would steal it, or something else would happen.

She told me that was the problem.

She explained that I need to respect money if I want to make money.

She told me I needed to go out and buy a NICE wallet. As an example, she pulled out her beautiful leather wallet from Nordstrom.

I was in a terrible roller-coaster of being financially successful and then losing it, being successful and then losing it… I was tired of it.

I wanted success and to have some stability.

So I took her advice, went out and bought this beautiful Michael Kors wallet (that cost me $100!) and at the beginning of every month I put a $100 bill in it.

Both my husband and I, give ourselves $100 at the beginning of every month to keep or do what we want with.

Imagine, when you get a $100 bill, you feel good! You want to take out your nice wallet and pay for things. You have your head up and a different confidence about you!

When you feel abundant, you attract more abundance!

Challenge for you: Get yourself a journal and every night journal about what you are grateful for and what abundance you have.

Do this for a week, a month, a year.

Let me know your thoughts or your little abundance rituals!

During the New Moon, I write an abundance check (PAID IN FULL)to myself, and sign it “The Unlimited Universe”. Making sure NOT to write it during a moon “void of course”. If you want to check the moon phases, go to http://www.zodiacarts.com. You can look at their calendar, or you can buy calendars from them.

I need to do this! I’m going to take your advice and start writing the things I’m grateful for. I seem to spend way too much time thinking about the things I don’t have and not on the things I do!
    Love your site!
