My Top 5 Favorite PodCasts for Personal Development

Henry Ford

My Periscope Topic recently was about one of the greatest investment lessons I ever learned.

I felt that college had cost me so much money (that I was still paying), I couldn’t see the value in spending more money on classes, courses or workshops.

The very first time I spent any kind of money on my own personal education was a $400 seminar and it was literally a decade after graduation, it was a $400 workshop to help get me out of debt…. that I put on my credit card!!!

Since attending that $400 event, I have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars, based on what I learned and put into practice from that weekend.
That seminar taught me the importance of continually investing in myself, my skills, and my personal education.

There are so many ways you can invest time or money, where there is always a return.

A few of my  favorite are:

books, podcasts, online academies and programs, in-person workshops and classes, networking events, and masterminds.

Since podcasts are free, here are my Top 5 Favorite PodCasts to Listen to for Personal Development, Finance & Business:
*these are all linked to iTunes, you can also download on Stitcher

  1. The Cardone Zone– Grant Cardone is passionate about helping people get out of the middle class and up-level their lives. He cracks me up and this is, hands-down, my favorite podcast. (even if, a lot is just entertainment value and motivation)
  2. Build a Badass Business– even if Diane Sanfilippo wasn’t a friend of mine, her advice is so solid and practical, I want to high-five her through the whole thing. Most of the time I think, “Is she in my head??” and other times, I’m like, “Whoa!! THAT was genius sister!!”
  3. The #AskGaryVee Show– hey, it’s Gary Vee… if you don’t know him yet… you’re welcome. He’s harsh, he’s smart, and hilarious. Not for people offended by cursing. Gary Vaynerchuk is one of my all time faves. Straight and to the point.
  4. Build Your Tribe– Chalene Johnson has two podcasts, but this one is geared a little more toward online business building. I love her approaches on outsourcing and that she gives so many examples of how to repurpose content.
  5. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield– I love Amy’s simple approaches to online business building. Her personal stories make her relatable and also make the audience feel that success is attainable.

I’m curious…. what are you listening to?

oh.. and PS I’ve been interviewed on quite a few awesome podcasts as well if you’d like to hear!!

Danny, I am loving the Money Challenge. On day 11 and making crazy progress. I wanted to let you know that I had a hard time Finding Gary’s podcast and it looks like the title of his show is a little different. The show name on Apple Podcast is ‘The GaryVee Audio Experience’, I just wanted to let you know so others can find him easier. Thank you again for all the content and the challenge you put together.
